The Laboratory of Nutrition and Nutritional Biochemistry, University of Yaounde I, Cameroon, conducted a clinical study on Aminogen. This study tracked the increases in protein absorption, nitrogen retention, and blood CRP reduction in subjects who were first given a protein supplement without Aminogen, and then later given a protein supplement with Aminogen.
Two groups of healthy males were assigned a specific balanced diet during all legs of the study. Each subject was dosed with 50 grams of whey protein concentrate (WPC) following an overnight fast. Nine days later the groups were again dosed with 50 grams of WPC following an overnight fast, but this time the protein contained 2.5g of Aminogen for one group or 5g of Aminogen for the other.
The study found that almost all individual amino acid blood levels, excluding glycine, histidine, methionine, and serine, were significantly higher in the second dosing compared to the first. Nitrogen levels were also much higher and CRP levels were reduced.
The study was published in the Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition.

Age related muscle loss is often accompanied by increased levels of body fat and a reduction in metabolism. MCT’s have been shown to reduce body fat deposits while increasing basal metabolic rate.
In one 16-week study, 31 overweight patients consumed either olive oil or MCT oil in muffins. All of the subjects participated in dietitian-led weekly group weight-loss counseling sessions that stressed following a prudent diet, and encouraged healthy eating patterns. The MCT group also had a 1.5 percent decrease in total fat mass as measured by CT scan, including a reduction in intra-abdominal fat.

In a study examining creatine’s effect on isometric strength and body composition, 28 healthy men and women over the age of 65 received either five grams of creatine daily or a placebo. Fourteen weeks of training resulted in significant increases in all measurements of strength, functional tasks, and muscle fiber area in both groups.
However, the creatine group experienced significantly greater increases in fat-free muscle mass, knee extension strength, ankle strength and intramuscular creatine levels. The researchers concluded that the addition of creatine supplementation to the exercise stimulus enhanced the increase in total fat-free mass and gains in several indices of participant muscle strength.
