Strawberry-Coconut Lime Spritzer

Whether you’re a loyal Diet Coke fan or simply ready to switch up your drink routine, this refreshing and healthy spritzer might be just what you need! It uses coconut seltzer water, fresh lime, and strawberries for a fizzy, fruit-forward drink that feels just as satisfying as your usual soda, without all the artificial sweeteners.

Simple, crisp, and a little bit sweet, it’s perfect on its own or as a fun upgrade to your favorite sparkling water.

Ingredients

  • 1 can coconut-flavored seltzer water
  • 1/2 lime cut into 2 wedges
  • 2 medium strawberries washed
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Remove the stems from the strawberries and slice them.
  2. Add the sliced strawberries to a tall glass, sprinkle with sugar, and let sit for about 5 minutes.
  3. Sprinkle with sugar and let sit for about 5 minutes.
  4. Mash the strawberries with a spoon until pulpy.
  5. Squeeze one lime wedge over the strawberry mixture and stir.
  6. Fill the glass halfway with ice.
  7. Top with coconut seltzer water and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Letting the strawberries sit with sugar helps release their juices (maceration), which boosts flavor and makes them easier to mash.
  • You can prepare a larger batch of macerated strawberries ahead of time. Use about 2 tablespoons per drink.
