Very proud and excited that esteemed senior healthcare leaders Noel Pugh Ph.D and Barry Rosen M.D. have joined Mend as senior advisors and collaborators to help with advancing our science and commercialization into hospital systems.

Barry Rosen M.D. Bio

Dr. Rosen is a breast surgical oncologist in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, where he has been in practice for over 25 years. A nationally recognized expert in oncoplastic surgery, Dr. Rosen has been on the faculty for the American Society of Breast Surgeons (ASBrS), the School of Oncoplastic Surgery, and the National Consortium of Breast Centers. Dr. Rosen is also dedicated to creating national standards for quality outcomes in breast cancer surgery, which has led to his chairmanship of the NQMBC (National Quality Metrics for Breast Centers) and his participation on the Patient Safety and Quality Committee for the ASBrS. Dr. Rosen is a board member of the TARGIT Collaborative Group, a national organization of breast surgeons and radiation oncologists dedicated to advancing Intraoperative Radiation Therapy (IORT) for breast cancer treatment. He is a partner of Targeted Medical Education (TME), a group of national breast cancer leaders who collaborate with industry to promote physician education and research. He is the former CMO of ETON Pharmaceuticals and the current CMO of ClearCut Medical. Locally, he is the medical director for the breast centers at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital, where he also served as Chief Medical Officer for 20 years, and AMITA/Alexian Brothers Medical Center.

Noel Pugh Ph.D. Bio

Noel Pugh has 23 years of diversified healthcare experience. Her contributions span across the healthcare continuum.  Operationally her experiences include project management in quality transformation, service line development, and strategy/growth of large -scale provider side healthcare organizations (Methodist Houston, St Luke’s Episcopal, HCA Northern CA, and UCSF). Additionally, she brings 15 plus years’ experience in provider-based sales with particular focus on promotion and positioning of burgeoning or stagnated product offerings (Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, The Advisory Board, CEP America, PatientPing and varied healthcare technology, device, and product start-ups.) This unique experience allows Noel to serve as a diagnostician – assisting organizational leaders in understanding their unique organizational opportunity across today’s complex value-based care terrain.  A cumulative understanding of today’s healthcare challenges and rigorous sales training allow Noel to shepherd early stage products and offerings from incremental to transformational growth.
