NEW YORK, NY, Feb. 22, 2022– mend™, a leader in the food as medicine and clinical nutrition category, today announced that Marcus Osborne has joined its senior leadership team to act as a key strategic advisor to help drive the company’s retail and payer strategy.

mend™’s portfolio of perioperative products has already been implemented at a number of leading hospital networks and have been shown to improve healing, functional outcomes and reduce risk. The company’s products are utilized by top military groups, professional sport teams, physical therapists and leading hospital networks across the world. The company also recently also added Rose Hamilton, former Chief Digital and Ecommerce Officer of Vitamin Shoppe, to drive the retail strategy which is set to launch with some of the largest national pharmacy chains and food/grocery stores in the nation. Osborne will be working with the broader mend™ team on retail launch plans and the payor reimbursement for the products, helping bring critical knowledge and connections that will help mend™ to execute a world class strategy.

Marcus Osborne most recently served as Senior Vice President, Walmart Health, where he was focused on furthering Walmart’s goal of providing quality healthcare that is affordable and accessible. Prior to joining Walmart, Marcus was a Senior Management Consultant with Alliance Consulting Group in Boston, Massachusetts. He also served as the Chief Financial Officer of the Clinton Foundation Health Access Initiative, where he focused on improving access to lower cost HIV/AIDS treatments to individuals in developing countries around the world.
