Overnight Oats with Tart Cherries and Almonds


  • 1 cup old fashioned oats
  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • ¼ cup dried tart cherries or any other dried fruit like dried cranberries or raisins
  •  cups unsweetened almond milk or your favorite plant-based milk or low fat milk
  • low fat Greek yogurt (optional)
  • toasted sliced almonds or any nut you have on hand (optional)


  • In a bowl or large tupperware, combine all the ingredients. Cover and set in the refrigerator overnight, or a minimum of 5 hours. Serve cold with a dollop or coconut yogurt and a sprinkle of sliced almonds.
